What a beautiful wedding was had on Sunday when Glenda married her prince. An early morning wedding held in a beautiful chapel in Woollongabba and then off to a brunch reception at the Landing at Dockside Kangaroo Point. Glenda was the picture of happiness, such a wonderful relaxed bride who just couldn't wait to see her man at the alter. Today was an early start with an engagement shoot at Wellington Point on Brisbane's Bayside. My stomping ground! Miss S and Mr T were wonderful. Miss S was an absolute delight to photograph and has one of the best natural smiles and laughs I have seen in a long time. Wow! It's already 2010. It's only the 7th and already I've had trouble writing the date, it feels weird not to put the 0 in front but to go 07/01/10.

I haven't been blogging for a while. Rather slack I know. In the time I've been blogging I've become a proud Aunty to my sister's baby - Cameron :) He is a beautiful little thing and I love seeing him:

Christmas and New Years was great. I took some much needed relax me time! Though my first day relaxing I was sick and was therefore sick for the rest of the week!!!! Just shows how much my body probably just did need to slow down and stop for a while. Got into some more much needed house renovations and my partner Brad and I finally moved into the upstairs bedroom where we can actually close the door and keep the cat out! The kitchen is still ongoing but it looks more like a kitchen then ever! Will be going shopping this weekend for some much needed fittings such as door handles.

Over the break I took only two photo jobs. A wedding at Stradbroke Island which was very intimate and lovely and I also photographed Beck and her belly bump. Her little boy was born at home last night and all is well. I can't wait to meet the little man. I photographed Beck about two years ago for her first baby so it was great to photograph her again. Thanks Beck!

So looking forward to 2010 and plan it to be a busy and interesting year for me. I have plans to move completely upstairs and then we can pick another house project to start - there is plenty to choose from so perhaps building a deck, renovating the bathroom or doing a much needed fix of the gardens.

Photography wise I am positive about this year. I have a couple of weddings booked and a hands on intensive course on the Gold Coast booked in May which should be brilliant. I also look forward to catching up with all my friends made through photography. I miss you all and look forward to a great year ahead!

What an early morning I had yesterday! Was up at 3.30am to drive down to "The Spit" on the Gold Coast to meet Mr B. I was excited to do this early morning shoot and was so pleased the rainy weather held off until at least the afternoon!

I was invited to photograph an intimate and relaxed wedding at the Brisbane Registry Office and October. It was a beautiful intimate wedding for them both with a stroll to the Brisbane Botanical Gardens afterwards for family photos and their reception.

I had a Mr and Mrs B this morning bringing little Archie for his first photo session! Can I just say what a week and a bit has it been for me! Last week I had the pleasure of attending August Exposure 2009 at the Gold Coast. A forum for learning and networking between professional photographers from over Australia. What a fantastic forum where I came away so inspired I had tears in my eyes. Is that crazy? Maybe a little but what can I say, I love photography soooo much.

I met some awesome photographers, got heaps of ideas to build my business, and was pushed a little further into putting more and more energies into what I love doing.

So what else have I been up to? I've recently done two weddings. I could up with Cally and John and photographed their newborn who was only a week old at the photo shoot. I also did two more maternity shoots. Yes photos will soon follow!

I'm so excited to be behind the camera and feel so motivated (but busy!) at the moment. Thankyou for your support and I'm looking forward to posting some more photos soon.

How exciting my first maternity shoot at my somewhat "in-between" studio at home! We are renovating.... I can't wait to finish upstairs and then start my stuido preps downstairs.

I was so excited to be photographing Cally as she is a very yummy-mummy to be and I knew she would be as creative as I was.

Thankyou so much Cally and John for being such wonderful models and spending the time with me to create such awesome images! I'm so happy! I can't wait for the little one to arrive.... not long now :)

Katrina & Matt's Wedding

I was so excited when Katrina asked me to photograph her wedding on June 6th 2009. I hadn't seen her since High School!

Im so happy with the photos I took of Katrina. Here is a sneak peak of the Bride. Katrina had a few worries on the day starting when the zip broke on one of her bridesmaid dresses! How funny we all looked sewing up Laurel-lea into her dress. When we finally got the dress sewed, and what a quick job at that haha, Katrina was dressed into her wedding threads and she looked beautiful. You can see that in the photos.

The ceremony was lovely with a unique ring warming ceremony. It went really really fast until the Bride and Groom were swept up in the crowd of their guests. We had a bit of trouble getting everyone gathered for group photos but we got there in the end! The sun went down really really quick but that only then served us to take some romantic evening shots!

Thanks Katrina and Matt for inviting me to be your photographer on your wedding day. Blessings for a wonderful future as husband and wife.
